S24 ultra issues

I am very disappointed with my s24 ultra so just wanted to check if others have the same issues like my phone.

The first issue I have is the camera zoom issues which shifts image between 1, 3 and 5 zoom which turned out is a hardware issue on the first batch of all s24 ultras.

The second issue is camera in 50mb and 200mb is completely useless as the post processing will ruine the image quality and make it like a garbage. Also the overall quality of camera is not good at all as well which is so disappointing. 

The third one which is so annoying is battery drains so much overnight. That's really weird and annoying and I can't really understand what is the reason. I turn off every thing on my phone. No AOD no wifi or internet on , i turn off every thing yo may think but still since 12AM till 6AM about 15% of my battery is used when I check it on morning. I Don't even have any third party apps on my phone. Also when I check the battery usage there is no any app that is using battery during that time. Does any one else has the same issue? Is it a software issue ?

Could you clarify whats exactly wrong with the zoom of the S24 Ultra? I have an S24 Ultra here and all seems fine. The AI is designed make the images of really good quality. Could you post some pictures as example of bad quality?

Your battery drain however is not normal.. Mine takes about 1 percent per 9 hours of sleep.. I guess you used SmartSwitch or another backup software to install the phone? You could start fresh with a factory reset and dont use Smartswitch but manually install the phone. This should fix the battery issue. This phone can easy last 2 to 3 days on a single charge with intense usage.

Same with the base S24 here. I have to charge the phone twice a day (5 hours screen time). My battery settings tell me I have used only 50% .

Hey Patrick.
Regarding the Zoom issues, you can also search on the internet. There are lots of user have the same problem, and they posted the issue. Also, in the sumsung community, you can find it. When you zoom in and out between 3 and 5, you might notice the image shifts frequently.

Regarding the AI, that's true. It was supposed to increase the quality, but quite the opposite, it makes it worse. It overbriths very area of the image and when you zoom into the image you can't see any details any more. Before the post-processing images look much better and the funny thing is that you can't turn this stupid AI improvment off though there is an option for that, but it does not work.

Regarding battery, I am not using smartswich either any backup app. Battery lasts so long during the days, but at night, I don't know what is happening

Five hours screen on time I get with about 20 percent battery so its my guess that both of you should do a factory reset and start clean.

Hey guys, come around I have some others story to tell.

After doing some tests now I am sure there is something wrong with s24 series and most of them are defective somehow.

Make sure you are cheking your phone.

I have found new stupid issues during the tests.

Regarding the battery I did reset factory and setup phone again. Without installing any application and it just got worse. Now I have about 5 hours SOT . Interesting thing is that for 1 minute SOT it uses 8% of battery sometimes During my monitoring.

Regarding the cemera I found some other rediculous defects.

Previously I mentioned that image shifing in zoom between 1,3 and 5 but it turned out it's not only for zoom. Open your cemera and try to move lense over close and a bit far from lens to get the focus changed and you might see image shifts weirdly is happening there as well which is definitely a hardware issue.

It's not the end of story however.

I just tried to get some RAW photos with 50mb cemera to see if I can bypass that stupid AI post processing that ruines the photos which I ended up with a very stengh photo. it's green every where and I can't belive how this flagship phone could make this absurd stuffs.

Also It turned out the washed out screen is also another hardware issue as a reddit user has revealed it by testing the screen in laboratory

I just returned my S24. It was the terrible speaker quality and battery for me.

Camera zooming issue I am also facing the same issue and I have looked many videos over internet and many saying it will fix after Feb update but today I have got update and the is not resolved.

And if this is hardware issue, samsung should come in front and take back their first lot devices it's own and replace the same with new one. As samsung is well known brand over the world and I am using samsung since last when they launched samsung note 2.

But as far as I have seen samsung does not say anything officially and don't bother for their customer. Samsung motive is only to get money from their customer.

Samsung customer care is also going worst as have seen over the internet and seen everybody is facing the issue in s24 ultra. Samsung does not want to take responsibility for the faulty device.
