I agree 100%. I have been a loyal Samsung customer for years. As much as I spend on phones for my family, I shouldn't be forced to have a ROKU TV. I enjoy Google TV better. If this isn't resolved by the time my phones are payed up (3 mnths) we are switching to Google phones.

Both devices have to be on the same network. I am a truck driver, and don't always have WiFi. Chrome Cast streams straight to the TV. No WiFi or wires needed.

the last 4 years i was say to evryone to buy samsung because of the smart screen and the easy way to cast on your smart tv.
of cource they remove it because they make damage to chrome cast etc.
so i found no reason at all to have a Fu@@@@@@ samsung phone any more.
xiaomi is cheaper at has more sensors and better hardware.
I jsu sign in to say Fu@@of samsung *****

Don't know if it was there all the time or they just added it. But there is Chomecast support now in the Smart View on One-UI 6.1, but I needed to enable it by opening Smart View - 3 dots - Settings - Labs, then enable Chromecast-support. After that the comecast comes up in the Smart View as an option to cast to.

There is indeed such an option now
But fyi, it doesn't work
At least, when watching something with, lets say, dailymotion player - there's no cast button.
My friend's Pixel 7 Pro has this button. My other friend's OnePlus 9 pro has this button.
Samsung s23 ultra for the price of over $1000 - doesn't has this button.
Shame on you, Samsung.
