USB Headphone Adaptor attempts to open an App

Why does my phone attempt to open an App when I plug in my USB headphone Adaptor?

Below is the text in the pop-up...

Open DEPSTECH-View to handle Samsung Type-C to 3.5pi gender adapt... Using DEPSTECH-View with this device might prevent hearing calls, notifications and alarms. Always open DEPSTECH-View when Samsung Type-C to 3.5pi gender adapter is connected

It's the other way around. The app activates when it detects an usb, or what it considers usb, device connection

I may uninstall the App, test the USB adaptor then reinstall and test again.
It may also be related to the granted permissions.
