S23 Ultra android auto black screen

First Samsung Wallet not working and now wireless Android Auto, black screen with "There was an issue loading maps"

Sounds vaguely like the S22 issues I read about last year...

It connects but maps not working, reset everything I could do on the car, clear all I could on the phone, nada.

This must be the worst release software on an S device, never had 1 issue with with S21 Ultra.

I am sure you have done this @sdcu , but have you granted maps full permissions including location?. My maps app would not work fully until I hit the find my location function which brought the banner up asking for permissions for the app to access the phones system fully. Once I granted this my Maps app worked perfectly. I think this permissions banner should come up when someone firsts opens the Maps app.
