S23 Ultra 10x optical zoom

Hi everyone. Long time Samsung phone user, first post here however. 

Enjoying my S23 Ultra a lot, great phone! 

However, when I use the 10x optical zoom I notice that the lens produces a grainy picture like I'm zooming digitally, then the image seems to change lens (it moves very slightly) and it's clear.

Sometimes it's the other way round (clean image initially, then grainy). I have some grainy pics and some cleaner pics depending on which lens the phone settles on. 

Anyone else seen this behaviour or know what's going on? Thanks all👍

I have this issue, the problem appears to be that the 10 lens doesnt activate. So when you
switch to 10x the phone activates the 3x and digitally zooms in to 10x when it
should then hand over to the 10x lens, which it doesn't.

You can test this by selecting 1 0x then covering the 3x lens with your finger -
the camera should show your finger obscuring the preview. If you cover the
10x lens you'll still see a (blurry) preview
