I currently have the S23 plus but I am thinking of giving this to my daughter and getting another plus but then I also thought about the ultra. Anyone have a pros and cons list of what they think of the ultra compared to the plus?

This is a compare section on Samsung.com here https://www.samsung.com/uk/smartphones/galaxy-s23-ultra/compare/

Do you feel you would utilise the sPen on the Ultra version ? If so go for the Ultra @PassionFruit

If I can be of any further help then please don't hesitate. Take care.  😎

The advice I offer is my own and does not represent Samsung’s position.

This will be something you will need to go and look at yourself.
Personally for me, the S23 Ultra is a fantastic phone. But I've not used the S23 plus.
Ive heard some really good things about the S23 Plus.
Like @BandOfBrothers has pointed out. Will you use the S Pen.
Also will the zoom camera be of benefit.
The S Pen for some that get these phones, something they didn't realise how useful it can be until they got it. For some they forget it's even there.
I find it a great useful feature of the phone
The S23 Ultra is a very boxy phone which is not to everyone's taste.

I've had my S23 Ultra since launch and couldn't be happier with it.

Best thing is to find your nearest Samsung Experience Store and get hands on with it. Or a local retailer that you can get hold of the phone

Generally I would recommend going for the Ultra over plus in applicable models as long as it is within Budget, you can utilise the features and like bigger phones.  Sometimes  customers do not know until they try it out though.

The other thing worth mentioning is that the S23 Ultra  has a brighter and superior LTPO display  with higher 1440p resolution.

I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.

Ultra
Pro > best of everything
Con > price and size (if you're not used to big phones)

As others have pointed out it's best to compare the 2 models in particular the features available in each model.

I previously bought an S20+ which was rich in features and not miles away from the ultra but in the S21 this wasn't the case as a lot of features were dropped so it's important to do a side by side comparison and don't use model No's alone as a guide

I personally tend to go for the highest model I can afford for future proofing purposes and not being left disappointed with a phone I could be stuck with for a while

I hope this helps
