Regardless what setting I apply for an app, it does nothing. Fix urgently please.

I bought Samsung phone over a Pixel for this feature and Samsung now causally break it. Slightly Annoyed.

Anyway to rollback? I game a lot and doing do with black bar is going to be annoying.

That's not what it used to be called for me.

To make apps full screen on the Samsung Galaxy S23 Ultra, navigate to Settings > Display > Full screen apps. Then, select the app you want to force to full screen and choose the "Full screen" or "App default" option

This disappeared with the OneUI 6.1 update, but was present on OneUI 6. If it's like that on my S21 Ultra, it should be like that on the S23 Ultra, unless you skipped the 6.1 update.

I have the exact same issue!BanG Dream used to look amazing in full screen, and now there are MASSIVE black bars on either side. What's even more annoying, is the option to show the camera cutout, the one that's still there, doesn't even work as it should. The black bar on the side of the camera is wider, no matter what I do, so the app isn't even CENTERED. Bang Dream is a rhythm game, so moving the placement of the lanes to be off kilter entirely messed up the gameplay, not to mention it looks awful.

Having the same issue, S23U with Rocket League Side swipe.

I've changed settings from show cutout to hide cutout and back but no change.

happening to me on my s23 fe, this has made such a big gap from the status bar to the ratio of whats shown on a game for example pokemon go, that has such a big gap from the status bar now it isn't just pokemon go there are a few others... all I've seen so far is games being affected with this big space between the status bar and contents of a game, praying this gets fixed as i do really like one ui 7 but this one thing is slightly bugging me sure i'll get used to it but well it would be nice to have more display used for games/content.

Still no update since they broke this feature, and security patching is still from April.  🤣

As a temporary solution, changing the navigation bar to buttons fixed things for me.
