Updated to OneUI6 the a day ago and since then whenever i go out of the house and use LTE coming back my phone will not connect to WIFI. Contstant loop "Checking quality of internet connection" That part. Then it either stays on 4G of if i've turned 4g off (Which i always do when somewhere like work or home with solid wifi) it gives up. Had 0 issues before updating to OneUi6. Seems like there may be others having the same thing. The only thing that kicks it to work is removing the wifi network and reconnecting afresh, but as soon as i use 4G.... it goes back into connect loop. Restarting the phone has the same results.

Edit1: Tried clearing Cache Partition, upon restarting the device once it had finished wifi would not connect... Unlike when i would restart before.

Edit2: Should of mentioned I had restarted my router when first noticing the issue. I have tried changing DNS, using static IP settings, turned Safe WiFi Mode On/off. Turning off and on Google location accuracy.

Deeply regret updating.

Similar issue. After updating my S21 Ultra to OneUI 6 can not connect to my WiFi. Stuck in a loop when checking connection quality. Found out that when DHCP is enabled it connects properly, but when static IP is set it loops. Can not set static IP on a phone and connect to the WiFi. Definitely a bug.

One adition. When I change from DHCP to Static IP while connected it's ok. But if I disconnect it and reconnect it, it loops. It has some problem with checking internet connectivity. Is there an option to turn that function OFF?

Update: I disabled Internet connection checking with adb command:

settings put global captive_portal_mode 0

but there is still a problem. It says connected and then disconnects. And maybe after 10 tries one will be a success and will stay ON connected.

Just double checked following what you've tried myself and experience the exact same results. Definitely a bug. Sorry your having this issue as well but glad I'm not alone!

I guess the next step is unfortunately waiting on Samsung to hopefully fix this with a follow up update to oneui6. I'm reluctant to go any further than I have as I'm even more confident in it's down to a software gremlin. Thank you both for your inputs, certainly helps narrow things down and rule out a lot of the many things it could of been

If you are able to connect to other WiFi networks then that leaves the home config to look into

How can it be home config issue if we are both experiencing the same issue and we are not in the same home.

I should clarify, the issue appears to be centered around static ips, the hot-spot I used I only used DHCP (not thinking at the time time to try static). I used static ips for most of my devices on my home network. OneUi6 seems to have an issue connecting/reconnecting when we use static details which is a new issue, seemingly introduced by OneUi6. My finding correspond to Strafe's results exactly

Did this issue get resolved in the recent software update?

I'm not 100% sure, I'm mid broadband provider and have been without dedicated broadband for a while so been using a mix of mobile 4g and a mobile 5g mifi device, so my original setup that I used to troubleshoot is out of order atm. That being said I try setting a static IP on the 5G mifi device on my phone only and that seems to be working as expected. I didn't set the address on my phone, but directly on the 5G mifi webui. This is a completely different setup that I found the issue originally and did all my testing. So hopefully that's sign enough that it's been addresses quietly. I'm not sure if anyone else here with the exact same issue has been able to test/notice improvement
