Problems since 6.0 update

Facebook messenger has gone crazy since 6.0 update. Keeps repeating notifications for old messages please can anyone help. I tried text talking to support bot but all of the things it kept asking me to do wouldn't work for me

I wonder if this is a Messenger issue as I was having the same on 5.1

This happened to me 2 days ago for the first time. My friend reacted to one of my messages and I got a notification every hour or 2 all throughout the night. I took several screenshots to share with my friend the next day to jokingly ask if she found my message that funny that she stayed up all night reacting to it. 3.24am, 6.40am and 7.44am were the times I got screenshots of but I remember there was one around 1.30am and several others prior to me deciding to screenshot.

i have the same issues, old messages from other apps (Instagram/facebook messenger) keep repeating. I tried to uninstall the apps, and restart the phone, it doesn't work. Every new notification will trigger the repeating of notifications. Help pls.
