Predictive text not working One ui 8

After updating to one ui 8 the predictive text feature does not work for some apps like WhatsApp even though predictive text is switched on. What is going on and how can I fix this?

I had a friend with a similar issue. You might need to update or download an app/predictive model that runs the keyboard. Check for updates in the galaxy store and the settings page for samsung keyboard.

They said they went into keyboard settings and toggles predictive text back on, this triggered the update

Wipe phone cache partition
• Power off the device.
• a USB-C cable to a PC or another device.
• Hold Volume Up + Side Button until Recovery Menu appears.
• Select Wipe cache partition/ Confirm Reboot system.

After any major software update also make sure to keep checking for app updates in both Samsung and Google stores.

Hi there 

I have had the same issue... i have tried all the suggestions and no luck however I just did this and I am now replying with it fully working!!! Ill screen shot the process and hopefully it will be successful for you too!!

update the download for English and activate the download and turn on the keyboard. 

nolonger typing like the dog chewed my phone!!
