I have an O2 sim card which I've had for a few years and it's worked fine in my old phone (honor 7x) with occasional dips but when I switched over to a galaxy s23 ultra I get essentially no signal or at best a slow one. This phone has other issues that I've had no luck fixing and thos is just another to add ot this list. Disappointed

Hey there

If you SIM card is several years old, would recommend you go into O2 store and get it swapped out for a new one.
I am not employed by Samsung nor do I receive any remuneration as a Samsung Members Star.

My device is an S25 Ultra.

Hi. I have the S21 Plus phone with a contract, and with 3 Moblie, I too have hardly any signal. Maybe a 5G issue?

Hi @Rio3505  👋

I'm sorry to learn your experiencing issues with your phone.  😔

As members here we all endeavour to help and support.

Can you perhaps elaborate as to what other issues you have experienced, so we can help  🤔

Or is it just 5G and Wi-Fi issues.

In regards to 5G then check in your Connections Settings that 5G is chosen,  and take into account that 4G is still in its infancy and so may not be available everywhere. I appreciate 5G allows faster downloads of large files , however 4G+ and 4G still offers fast surfing.

If you perform a forum search you may find existing threads with some further help or guidence within in regards to Wi-Fi.

In regards to your o2 sim card then @Piper123 raises a very good point 👍 to have the network oerform a sim swap which is the process of them moving your contract and number from your current sim card to a new blank sim card.

More information here https://www.o2.co.uk/help/device-and-sim-support/activating-your-sim

You could also ask a process of elimination try the sim in the secondary sim slot.

Resetting the network via Settings > General Management > Reset > Reset Network Connections > Soft reboot by turning the phone Off and On > See if that helps.

If i can be of any further help please don't hesitate to ask  😎

4g works fine on my old phone and that phone is 6 years old by now, WiFi also drops on the s23 ultra I find so the issue is related to the phone itself. I don't know why samsung would put such bad modems in their phones

Your old phone will have old technology in it.

Your S23 Ultra is top of the range with a host of new tech.

Replacing the SIM will rule that in or out. If you don't want to, that's fine, but you've come here for support and then refusing to accept it???
