LACK OF CUSTOMISATION

Hi,

When will we be able to fully customise our lock screens such as being able to add hijri date alongside the normal gregogian date?

Additionally the ability to choose from multiple lockscreens at your fingertips as Apple do?

On android you except to be able to fully customise your phone from start to finish and I feel as though we are lacking in this department.

Have you tried getting the Good lock app on your phone.
Not sure it will give you everything you want, but gives you more customising options.

Thanks for responding! I have tried using the good app from the Galaxy store, but whilst it's really cool, it doesn't quite let me do what I was hoping for. Hopefully, this is something they can incorporate in the next update

It's usually best to send feedback to Samsung if you have customisation ideas. I don't understand the date thing you mentioned though. Is it something that's available on android that Samsung didn't implement?

I agree, Apple certainly 1-upped Android on the lock screen customisation. Hopefully we get something similar at some point. Really got to give Apple credit there.

Hijri date/calendar is the Islamic dates of the year that goes by a lunar calendar as opposed to a solar calendar like the gregorian one.

It's really useful to have both 😌

I'm not sure if other Androids have this or if it's limited to not work in Europe but Apple implemented this many years ago so I thought Samsung/Android would have the option to have it also by now.

I love my Samsung phone but there's certain elements of customisation and usability an Apple has these days that would be amazing to have on an Android. Hopefully some changes come soon 🤞🏻

The developers have got back to us.

Regarding having another date alongside the Gregorian one on the Lock Screen they’ve said that it’s not in their current plans. They've advised that they’d want to have flawless religious calendar formatted data (including all other religions) in order to make this feature work at its best for all; plus, that “the Google account (server) is already providing the data, and most Android users are using Google account.”  (For what it’s worth: one of those great suggestions where I feel that whilst it’s a no for now, you never quite know how the future will pan out – even if having an alternative/dual date on the Lock Screen as a standard option turns out to be more of an Android than Samsung thing, for example.)

Regarding the ability to easily choose between different Lock Screens, the developers have said that they’ll be looking for more users who would like that option before considering implementing it.
