Issue Report: External Kingston XS1000 2TB SSD Not Properly Mounted on Galaxy S23+ after Android 15 Update
After updating my Galaxy S23+ to Android 15, my external Kingston XS1000 2TB SSD formatted as exFAT is detected by the phone but cannot be accessed through the default "My Files" app. When I tap on the drive, it attempts to load the contents but nothing appears.
Before the update, the SSD worked perfectly on the same device without any issues. The SSD also works fine on other devices, including a Huawei P20 Pro, confirming the drive itself is not faulty.
I have already cleared the system cache partition and USB cache as recommended by Samsung support, but the issue persists.
This appears to be a system-level bug affecting the mounting and access of external exFAT-formatted SSDs in OneUI 7.0 on Android 15.
Please escalate this issue to the development team for a fix in an upcoming software update. The inability to properly access external storage significantly impacts device usability.
