Hello My name is Ridhi Sharma and I recently purchased my first Samsung S23 phone. I'm really enjoying the phone so far, but I'm having trouble finding the heart rate monitor feature that I used to have on my old phone.
I am Ayurvedic doctor, so monitoring my heart rate is an important part of my daily routine. I used to be able to measure my heart rate by simply placing my finger on the camera, but I can't seem to find that option on my new Samsung phone.
If anyone knows how to access the heart rate monitor feature on the Samsung S23, I would really appreciate your help. Thank you!
Thank you!

Not directly related but in case anyone is wondering Ayurvedic is an Alternative Medicine system. https://www.hopkinsmedicine.org/health/wellness-and-prevention/ayurveda
I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.

That's not good I don't want to be forced to buy a smart watch

A doctor using real medicines, unlike the petroleum based synthetic rubbish from the pharmaceutical industrial complex

That's exactly why they did it, to sell more watches ;(

I appreciate the effort, but I'm bothered by the redundancy argument.
Redundancy is creating a watch to do something that the phone already did. Removing the feature to force people into buying a watch is maddening.
It would be fine if they encouraged people to get more accurate results by purchasing a watch, but I don't want to buy/wear a watch for just this one reason. All I want is a set of ballpark estimates of my heart rate. They gave us the technology, and then they took it away so they could sell watches.
Redundancy is a big word that sounds good but it is not the reason why they removed the feature.
I love Samsung, but I'm still mad about this.

Like others have said, it's not logical to take away a technology that has been developed, and that works. All about the money. Adding features so people buy phones, then taking away other features, so that people buy other tech like watches. Selfish and unnecessary.
