Hi
Got my S23 Ultra last week. Chose it for the camera capabilities. Generally pleased with it but some of my wide angle shots appear faulty.
Look at the very top of this picture, which has been cropped to show the fault area. (It's a roof eaves and brickwork.)
I've taken a load more test shots today and it was hard to replicate - most shots were absolutely fine - but it did happen sometimes (maybe 1 in 20 shots have this fault).
Looks like a software fault rather than the hardware. Has anyone else noticed this?
Thank you
James

Saying you don't expect bugs because a device costs £1249 is one of the most ignorant statements I've seen from quite a few users on this forum.
...
saying a device costs xxx so it should be perfect is silly.
Oh. OK. Thanks for that observation. It's a heck of a lot of money and I "went big" as the camera seemed best on the market. So yes it's disappointing.
Anyway, I'm mostly trying to establish whether it's just me or do all S23 Ultras have this issue? I can recreate the problem quite easily, just take say 20 wide angle shots and 2 or 3 will have this issue. If others can recreate the issue I am less bothered because it will hopefully be fixed in due course. If I've got a dud I will return it for an exchange. No one else has chipped in with "mine too" as of yet.
Cleared cache, which was nearly empty anyway. Reset camera app settings. Issue persists.

After further testing, I think the problem is more likely to happen with photos of diagonal lines at the top of the image. Brickwork in particular. Can anyone else replicate this? I would say 1 in 5 pictures of brickwork are like this in my case.
Samsung has agreed to replace the phone by the way.

Well, after installing the software update yesterday, the issue seems to be fixed. Just in time as I was about to return it to Samsung.
Will carry on testing over the weekend to be sure.
