Display screen timeout is not working

Just noticed now that my S23U 'display timeout' is not working at all. Tried changing duration. But no luck. Whether its home screen or any screen inside an application, its not even dimming. 

I am quite sure it’s a new issue. Coz I can clearly remember, after 30 secs of no use, I needed to press side buttons or tap screen to turn screen on and resume using that application. 

Any suggestion?

I'm no expert, but my first idea was an app is stopping this from happening..
If you can put your phone into Safe Mode, instructions how to do this are on the Web. This will isolate everything but the phone, and see if the screen dims. If it does, it's and app. If it doesn't, try clearing the System Cache.
If that doesn't clear it, then it's a factory reset. But I'm sure it won't come to this.
