Camera concerns

Hi everyone,

I'm curious if there are any planned camera updates in the upcoming patches, either the August one or OneUI 7.

I've found the stock camera performance to be underwhelming compared to third-party options like GCam. Both GCam and ExpertRAW deliver significantly better results, especially for selfies and general shoots. However, I don't really like the constant need to unlock my phone or wait close to half a min for the remaster to finish on ExpertRAW.

I switched from an iPhone 14 Pro Max to the S23 Ultra due to borderline hating iOS. However, the camera quality has been a major disappointment, especially when compared to my previous phone or even my wife's iPhone 15. I'm seriously considering returning to iOS because of this.

Edit: I know that there will be some that will say that the photographer is the faulty one, not the stock app itself(which I kinda agree, I'm an awful photographer), however when taking shots with my wife's 15, I always just point and shoot and they look pretty great. This isn't really happening on the s23u at all.

Hi, unknown if the next update will carry some camera updates for the S23 line-up. Rumour has it that the next S24 update will carry some camera updates. However, that update seems to be delayed for now.

*****, hopefully they will update the s23 line as well. I'm frankly amazed on how good the gcam pictures look like

hello everybody, which gcam version are you using with the S23? Are all the camera working?

By the way using pro mode the result are better in some case, no hdr but details are way better.
