Android auto

My car infotainment system has a message saying I'm not connected and keeps trying and trying to connect. The contacts have been imported, I can still make calls the only thing that is missing is my maps and the android auto box to show it's connected. Has anyone had this happen as no idea how to fix it?

My ma has this in her car it says it isn't supported but we've found an idea to it. If you have a cable and it does that, it Isn't the cable, the car and Android auto haven't noticed one another yet.

It genuinely takes unplugging it, lol.
But that does depend on if yours has a cable.
