Why does the S22 Ultra phone have two SIM card slots but cannot use both SIMs simultaneously? Also, in the system settings, there is only an option for configuring one SIM card.

You can use both at the same time, it should look like this. I just happen to have my second one turned off right now. If you only see 1 sim when you have 2 in the phone, you might not have put them in correctly.

You can't use the second sim slot and an esim at the same time, that's the only limitation. So if you are just using 2 normal sims, both should work just fine

If I remember right not all of the older phones was dual sim, especially ones purchased overseas, so you may want to check that first

One of the obvious checks was to see if you got a sim manager on your phone, if it doesn't show up likelihood you had a single sum phone

The S22 has duel sim which i have but I only use one sim card.

I have two sims currently in mine, first is personal sim and the second work. I did find out at my expense that I couldn't run a physical sim alongside an e-sim.

Try this:

• Remove simcard tray and all simcards while phone is still on.
• Power off the phone with the simcard tray still out of the phone.
• Insert two simcards on both trays and insert the tray in the phone while the phone is off.
• Restart the phone.

If it was a duos, both simcards will work. It happened on mine. It had two sim trays, but only one was working until I did this.  When the phone is switched off with the sim tray off, then restarted, it defaults to the number of simcards in the tray. Single sim, if one and dual sim of two.
