Hi everyone!

I have this weird marking on the top of my camera lens, the phone is just over 24 hours old. I have taken it to the nearest local tech guy (as I'm currently overseas for a while) and he says it appears to be on the interior of the camera lens but to check with samsung when I return home. I'm not gonna be back for a bit, but was wondering if this mark will eventually cause any damage to the camera or spread? It's weird that it is in the interior of the lens, and not sure what it was caused by. Any help or advice appreciated!

Hi @SJCheron

Unfortunately no-one can foretell how this could escalate / affect the lenses etc, and if you ever need warranty support Samsung may say due to the damage there maybe a fee.

I don't remember any in-transit protective film being on my camera module but check just in case.

So it's best to contact the supplier of the phone within any relevant cooling off period to arrange to have the phone swapped out.

I appreciate from what you say in regards to being oversees right now so still contact them so the issue can be logged on their systems so this can be resolved on your return.

Make sure they provide written proof via text ir email that the issue is logged.

Spoken words may not be sufficient on your return.

If I can be of any further help then please don't hesitate. Take care.  😎
