My videos from holiday are in wrong order because it is sorted by upload date instead of create date! So all my videos from holiday are in random order now. I checked the metadata on OneDrive and it shows real date of upload next to "Created" info. For example file which name starts with 20231127 (obviously created 27th of November) shows creation date to 30th of November (upload date). This is extremly frustrating and unacceptable for big feature like this! It seems that this issue exist for quite some time and still not fixed. All photos and videos were taken with Galaxy S10. I use Galax S22 and only official Samsung Camera and Galery app. It is not the first time I'm dealing with cloud syncing problems with Galaxy device. Last time it was creation of duplicates in OneDrive.

This is really terrible expirience. Saving CORRECT date by photos and videos are main aspects of Gallery and OneDrive application.I have a lot of Samsung devices, so switching different ecosystem would be hard, but this is yet one more reason to so it anyway. I create non-replicable photos and videos of my kids. And I want these materials to be stored correctly. Apparently, it is too much to ask from Samsung.

For everyone who has the same problem, I finally found the solution!

Just switch to iOS. I moved all photos to my new iPhone using Switch to iOS, then enabled cloud synchornisation and belevie or not - My photos and videos on iCloud are not all messed up like they are in OneDrive. They are in CORRECT order.

Whether it was problem of Samsung or OneDrive - I don't care. I used Samsung Cloud until they forced me to use OneDrive. This should have been solved ages ago.

And here

Those users have had the same problems and are pissed off for the same reason...
BTW, I have no problem in Photos in my Google account 💡

Yeah but I do not use or own any iOS device. I use Samsung phones for years. I used Samsung Gallery until I was forced to use OneDrive to sync all (when Samsung shuts down Samsung Gallery Cloud).

So I expect this to work seamlessly. Or at least fix this type of errors immidiately. But it looks like it is there for quite some time and nobody solves it.

Last time I solved the photo duplicatio problem, Samsung just blamed Microsoft and vice versa.

I try to look for tools to migrate to Google Photos or maybe switch to iOS enterily.

No need to switch to iphone just for photos gallery.
Google is enough.
I am a Linux user and yep, comparing cool Debian or any Linux or BSD distro to any version of window$, micro$oft $ucks for years 🤬

If you wanna know any security hole in M$, sooner you get info in any warez forum than from M$ crew 💡

Take care, stay safe ✌️

Omg sweetie, onedrive shows you the date of upload, because video was CREATED there that moment when you upload that file. So if you want to know any date and time, your video files have in their filename date and time. So you should stop be so dramatic.
