Ultra disappointment. Ultra embarrassment.

I can't understand how a company which produces the highest standard consumer electronics can't afford to put a shred of bubble foil to secure their products while shipping.

I recently got my new S22 Ultra 5G directly from samsung.co.uk store. The phone was not secured at all. You can see this in the video below:

Going by the unpacked event samsung are trying to cut down on plastic, so if used bubble wrap then that's kinda defeating the aim of less plastic? Instead it looks like a kind of paper bubble wrap. Personally I have no issues with how I got mine🤷‍♂️

It's not about the absence of bubble foil. It's about the absence of any protection. Perhaps the video will be approved at some point and that will clarify what I meant.

If it's the same as the way my S21 Ultra came and about half a dozen other accessories I've ordered straight from Samsung since then, its a cardboard box with this black sticky paper covering over the top and that's it. I complained last year since my S21 Ultra, Buds Pro and SmartTag were sent this way with no protection at all inside. There was lots of space for the items to be jostled about inside. Also curiously, the printout included inside came from a broken printer and most of the page was illegible from black streaks across the page. This funnily enough was still the case months later when I again recieved a sheet of paper inside that was illegible.

Mine came in a box that could probably fit about 20 S22 Ultra in it. The Phone box itself was rattling around inside that bigger box. 
Surprised there wasn't any damage. The paper is supposed to be sticky, and when they've used smaller boxes in the past that paper has kinda held the phone in place but it didn't work with this bigger box. 
Also seems like such a waste of space - shipping fresh air is never great.

Samsung probably got really embarrassed by this video, as the video is "awaiting approval" since Tuesday 🤣
