Samsung Ultra 22 - Reminders in Calendar - the Reminders App is Useless

Where have the Reminders in Calendar gone.  The phone sends you to the Useless Reminders App - I don't have time to set up an appointment and then go and set up the same thing in Reminders.

Why would they change something that worked perfectly?

I'm using the Samsung Calendar App @AnneKo 

When I set up a calendar entry part of the entry set up is to choose the day and time to be notified of the entry and to set whether I want to be notified the day before or on the day.

Then when the entry comes to pass it shows up on my phone as a pop up notified with an audible alert.

i.e The pop up I've pointed to in red shows up at the top of my phone.

 

If I open the Calendar App and tap on the cog icon in the top corner I can then also set the different preferences of alert.

Mmm - I mostly bluetooth sync my calendar from Outlook - not via cloud - and the reminders used to come through. Not anymore.
