S22 VS S23 50MP photo comparison. Comment your thoughts!

The S22 and S23 have the same image sensor, so why is the image quality of the S22 poor? Does GOS limit camera performance?

See picture below. S22 on the left and S23 on the right. Wide angle and 1x. Even at 50MP the S22 performs poorly.

The image sensor is one aspect to the camera, they don't share the same ISP so you shouldn't expect identical results. Post processing will be handled very differently from the S23 to the S22, this may account for the "better" image quality.

Hard to say much about 1 example with little info. It's 1 photo from each camera. We don't know if they are both in a tripod to make sure we are only comparing the image quality and not image stabilization features. And is this 50MP mode or regular 4:3 mode? What version of Samsung Camera app is being used on both? Etc.
