Definitely get to learn to use the Pro mode.
It's easy to get auto shots. But how many times have you looked and it doesn't look how you want it to.
Pro mode will be able to setup a shot how you want it to look and potentially better details.
Just don't try and use all the features at once
Say start with say ISO. Get used to that and then use another like shutter speed. See how they work together etc.
Once more confident, download Expert RAW app. Then you can get more detailed shots and edit the images.

I'm a point and shoot kinda guy and have only played with the Pro mode a few times.
It's a trial and error route so the old saying practice makes perfect.
There are some YouTube tutorials on how to get some stunning images too.
