Persistant Media output notification

So im having an issue with my notification bar each time I listen to Spotify or my music app it is left floating in my notifications bar when I remove it and restart my phone it comes back again and it's beginning to really annoy me is anyone else facing this issue and can you advice me how to remove it please?

1. Go to App Info (Hold the app icon and then the 'i'.
2. Select Notifications
3. Select Silent, instead of Allow sound and vibration

See if that works.

I tried your suggestion but doesn't seem to work even after not allowing any notifications.
I get the same issue with Spotify but when I see a close all message there is a pop up that says to stop the app after which you press done.

Hi this didn't work thank you for your help but it stil continue as its in the notification tray
