There's no option to change the screen resolution. Is anyone else facing this?

I have a Galaxy S22 - Regular version (SM-S901B/DS).

What device? I don't think S22 has WQHD display. Think it's only the ultra which has display resolution option.

The regular Galaxy S22 SM-S901B/DS.

My previous phone was a Galaxy S9, and there I had 3 resolution options, so would be weird that the newer S22 wouldn't be able to have the same? (Despite that the S22 Ultra could have a more high-end resolution option that is not available on the regular S22, sure?)

They reduced maximum resolution on the regular s series phones since the S21. This is normal, however I find it strange that you can't reduce resolution from the standard since the Ultra variants can go lower or higher.

Yes, it looks abnormal to me.

This is what I can see on my Galaxy S9:

A typical trend, redux features and capabilities in newer phones.

The sound of S9 was much much better than in S205G, and still way better than in S22.

Now no option for resolution/refresh. Not seeing really an improve in camera either.

Getting worse and worse, decreasing production cost and increasing selling price.

S9 structure is by far the best phone ever created by Samsung. Not sure what went wrong.

Just got a reply from Samsung Support.
So the S22 is 'locked' on the FHD+ and so officially has a lower resolution than the S9 😬

Generally, I'd be okay with this, if it weren't for the fact that I can really tell the difference. The S22 display has a bit of a grainy shine/glare on smaller text and smaller images and it annoys me a bit. Actually quite surprising for a 2022 flagship phone 😬  Blows my mind a little bit.

We've been had. I noticed the exact same thing 'upgrading' from the S9+ to the S22. This display is garbage.
