Galaxy S22 series One UI 6.1 update

One UI 6.1 will land on the Galaxy S22 series. However, it's unlikely that the phones will get Galaxy AI features.

If not the Galaxy AI features, the update will bring these features (at least):

• improved single-take mode
• a new long-exposure feature
• colorizing black & white images
• cross-device video editing support
• HDR video support in social apps
• 12MP representative photo using AI upscaling

Samsung hasn't released a timeline for the One UI 6.1 update. However, you can check the Galaxy S22 series One UI 6.1 update tracker to check the progress.

For me, not having AI features at least in S22 is a scam. Almsot all AI features of my S24 Ultra does not work offline, you need to have data or wifi enabled which is wild since there is no easy access to Terms of Service that explains data protection of the users. if compute ai is not done on the phone, what is the point of not having this featur on the s22?

I agree if online cloud compute is being used then why not include those AI features on s22 ultra where users were promised to get 4 years of latest features.

6.1 update for s22 ultra will not have all the features of S23 and s24 ultra.  Updates were supposed to include all new software features.  Galaxy AI included on S23 and S24 are largely off device compute and should be included.  Samsung has officially announced that S22 ultra will not get the Galaxy AI features even the cloud based features.  This is unfortunate since we paid over 1,300 just 2 years ago.  So now they promise 7 years of updates but what does that really mean?

They are and have been so plateaued , AI and BS benchmarks are all they have.

I'm switching to pixel! It's a rip off we can't get it. Spend so much money on an device two years later which can't support.
