I still do not understand how Always On Display differs from Lock Screen
Whatever activated or not, I cannot see any difference
Can someone clarify this feature to me. Thanks

There are subtle differences between the two options.
What-is-always-on-display-aod.
" AOD) is a smartphone feature that has the device continue to show limited information while the phone is asleep"
Some like the aod because it can be set to continously show information on the screen such as time and date, notifications indicators.
I have mine set to double tap on the screen to wake it up when or if I have aod activated.
The lockscreen options are ample for me.
