Issues with Widevine L1 for Samsung Galaxy S22 Ultra

I have started facing a strange issue since past few months. Widevine L1 suddenly becomes L3 at the device level. Restarting phone helps to bring it back to L1 temparorily and it changes back to L3 randomly. This has obviously an impact on Netflix, Amazon Prime where I cannot play UHD contents anymore and restarting phone every time is not convenient. Considering a flagship phone, I am surprised that Samsung is neglecting fixes for such basic issues. I am using 'DRM Info' app to check Widevine status. Has anyone faced same issue and knows the solutioon?

I think I found the root cause. Enabling 'power saver' causes an issue such that L1 becomes L3 on the phone. I will report this to Samsung.

On my phone it sometimes starts with l3. I don't use the energy saving mode, so there must be other reasons

Check that both ' settings >> battery >> power saving' and 'settings >> battery >> power saving >> adaptive power saving' are turned off.

Ok I was wrong. Even after disabling power saver mode - L3 came back randomly after 3 days.. 😡

Samsung is becoming like cheap Chinese phone companies that breaks basic things and wants to do nothing about it..!
