Thanks for replying; I've been searching the internet for an actual resolution to this and I'm getting nothing solid at all. I've tried just about all the solutions out there and no luck.
It definitely seems like a software issue though, or a standard reboot wouldn't resolve things temporarily. If it were hardware I'd have expected it to be 100% consistent. Mine seems to be fine again for some time, then it returns eventually. And Android updates haven't resolved anything either.
I'll keep in with my search.
