S21 + / S21 Ultra maximum brightness does trigger in sunlight

My S21 Ultra and my girlfriend's S21 Plus are not bright enough outdoors, in both sunny and cloudy weather.

Compared the maximum brightness on our friend's Iphone 13 Pro, our Galaxy S21 plus/ultra max brightness is looking 10 times dimmer. Resetting auto-brightness data does not help.

It hurts as I've been advocating for Samsung against Apple, however there doesn't seem to be a fix available for this issue. Great phone, however only indoors!! Hope somebody can help however not optimistic at all 😞

Brightness should be on Auto

Turn extra dim Off if it's On

power saving Off.

Thanks, but already done all from what you suggested without any luck so far. This is especially noticeable in cloudy weather, there would be no direct sunlight hitting the screen hence it will not trigger max brightness or something close to that .

Do the sensor test on the members app support tab and see.

Also a simple phone Restart sometimes does wonders.

This is a major error on Samsung's part. There is no solution currently.
