Having spoken to Samsung on numerous occasions regarding this issue, I am even more confused due to conflicting advice...

I believe you first have to connect a USB C lead to the phone in order to access recovery mode!!

If I don't have access to a PC or laptop, I was told a pair of connected USB C headphones or a powerbank/charger..

Is this correct or is it a PC/laptop only...

Why did Samsung make it so difficult to access cache partion in recovery mode!!

Hey @Newel447Q! Yes, you can insert USB-C headphones instead of connecting to a PC to access Recovery Mode. 🙂

Thanks for that..
Samsung swore blind that inserting headphones will categorically not work...

Samsung has been really lacking in this instance..

Can I ask if a charger or powerbank will also work?

@Newel447 No problem at all! Officially, our guide only states that USB-C headphones and connecting to a PC will work, but you can always give it a try if you don't have either of these to hand. 🙂

You can also connect phone to a Samsung tablet with the charger cable and it works.....they changed it with android 11 as people were complaining that they were knocking the button power and volume up and would put phone into recovery mode without knowing 🤷

Tried on the off-chance connecting to a USB charging block without success...
Repeated the steps 6 times and phone kept on rebooting to home screen...
I'll have to invest in a pair of USB C headphones and connect those as advised earlier and hope for the best!!

If that fails I'm giving up!!...lol

I take it any headphone with USB C termination will work to get me into recovery mode!!
