So I bought the new S21 Ultra on the pre order the day it was announced. I was one of the lucky ones to get early so I could leave a review.
Coming from a Note 10+ that I had for a year and a half, I was really excited for the S21 Ultra, but was really disappointed with the battery life. I've had the phone for 5 days now and since the very beginning I've not been able to use the phone for the whole day on a single charge. It's been giving me screen on times comparable to my Note 10+ (4/5 hours) which is a much older device, but I thought maybe this was the way all S21 ultra's were behaving, just not very good battery life.
BUT, yesterday all the youtubers started to publish they're videos comparing batteries with older S devices and Iphones and their S21s were doing amazing, giving them screen on times of up to 13 hours!
I contacted support but they said this would be normal as my phone was still learning user patterns... but I'm not sure if that would affect it as bad as it is at the moment.
What do you guys think? Should I send the phone back? I'm really concerned that I just spent all this money on a new phone for it to be so bad with battery.

Yes it counts from last full charging time 😕 let's take tests and compare again and try to notice what is the problem

Share your usage so we can compare between us and find what is the app that kills the battery

There is a software update for S21 Ultra. See if that helps. Also, trying to go through all the apps you have installed and put to sleep/deep sleep apps you don't use a lot. Turning off your location and NFC also helps. Unless you're playing games you don't need refresh rates of more than 60 Hz. Therefore, turn ON your Adaptive move as it will actually save battery by refreshing the displaying < 60 times a second, saving battery. I just got my phone today and I got 3.5 hours SOT. Which isn't good but Samsung claims S21 series have intelligent battery which will learn your usage pattern and adapt. I wouldn't start tracking battery life until at least a week. And web browsers use a lot of battery. Did anyone find a solution to this?

i guys i think i solved the problem.
The problem was SMART SWITCH, so i formatted the phone and re-installed everything without using any backup...et voila, battery is finally ok!

My third recharge cycle still 6.06 hrs but some people told me to wait my battery to learning patterns so i will wait but untill now there is no improvement

But by disabled smart watch you ( calculated it 15 % within 54 min so you will get 6 to 7 hrs on screen time ?it's still very bad like our situation 😕
