Why wont WIFI Calling stay on at Home - Keeps Switching 4G Weak Signal

I live in a weak signal area and wifi calling will not stay on because I am getting 1 bar on 4G which means I get calls dropped or the phone wont connect sometimes (Samsung S20). Coming across from Apple I find this very annoying as Iphone would always default to wifi calling when at home giving perfect call clarity. Looking at the phone it is always switching between wifi calling and 4G. I can get it to stay on wifi calling if I set 2g/3g as my preferred option, but I really shouldnt have to do that. Any ideas ?, and no it doesnt need a reset or cache clear or reset network connections. My wife has also purchased the same phone and it also does it at home and on her work wifi. I repeat Iphone ALWAYS stayed on wifi calling when in range regardless of 4g signal strength

Have you checked the settings under 'WiFi Calling'? There is an option for 'WiFi Preferred '.

Found the solution messing around in settings, I need to turn VOLTE off, this forces wifi calling to stay on

No option to do that on Samsung S20

OK. Glad it's sorted. Just for the record, I have an S20 and I have the setting to prefer WiFi Calling and I also have VoLTE selected.

Try with on or off, mine was better on.
