Wake Up Screen upon receiving notifications

Hi All,

I recently got S20, this is my first Samsung. I noticed the screen doesn't wake up when I get notifications. I am not able to figure out in the settings. Notification sound comes properly but as the screen is black (that's the problem), I always need to double tap or click on power button. This is very frustrating. Can someone help?

if you have edge lighting or always on display on then it won't wake up the screen

This is so crazy. I mean why would you make a system like this. Always on has a separate function. I am totally fine without edge lighting. I wish it could have worked with Always On Display. Poor from Samsung and I just checked forum, this is not new. happening with older models and 2020 models as well. Do you know if this will be fixed in any upcoming release?

Turn off edge lighting from your navigation panel. This would be the reason.

So turning off Edge Lighting and keeping Active Display On, it is working. So weird. Thank you guys.
