Top speaker crackle

(resposting here as more appropriate than 'lounge' board where I posted earlier).

I purchased a refurbished Samsung S20 phone from giffgaff last week. Generally it’s working perfectly but I’ve noticed a slight crackle when playing youtube videos/podcasts/radio etc. After a bit of googling and experimenting I’ve worked out it’s the top speaker at fault. By turning the top speaker off (through hearing enhancements and sliding the left/right balance) and just using the bottom speaker everything is cystal clear. By just using the top speaker it’s muffled and crackly. So I’m at the point of returning for a repair or replace but, as advised, am trying here first…anyone help?

Click on the get help button
At the bottom of the samsung members page
And run a diagnostic test speaker

Thanks Steve,

Just done that but when I get it to test the speakers all it does is check there is sound coming from each speaker - which there is - so that hasn't helped.
