Hi,

My S20 FE is not accepting correct PIN while unlocking and I'm completely locked out. I have been using the same PIN for about 2 years, and I haven't changed it recently since I always use fingerprint to unlock. Recently I updated my device and unlocked using the same PIN after restart but now it is not accepting.

I'm bummed to see this kind of glitch on Samsung Device, atleast there should be Forgot Password and login with Samsung ID or Google ID to recover.

I tried Find my device to unlock the device, but it seems that remote unlock is not turned on, on my device.

I wiped the Cache partition, restarted and tried the PIN but still didn't work.

I have a year of Photos and Videos stored in that device, don't want to Factory data reset it.

Please help me with this issue if anyone had faced similar issue.

Hi
Restarting your phone and verifying the correct PIN. If the problem persists, clearing the cache partition (for Android) or performing a factory reset might be necessary. As a precaution, always back up your important data before performing a factory reset

@PraveenS20FE  Additionally you may be able to reset using  Samsung's  Find My Mobile on another  Device, though  Remote unlock would need to have been set up previously. see some information here https://www.samsung.com/uk/support/mobile-devices/i-cant-unlock-my-device/  Google has a similar service which would need to have been set up previously,it does Factory Reset https://support.google.com/accounts/answer/Find My Device

in any case it is advisable to back up Data to cloud services or/and local storage.see information here https://www.techradar.com/best/best-cloud-backup  can synchroinise with one Drive on Samsung Devices or use Google for instance.

I do not work for Samsung or make Samsung Products but provide independent advice and valuable contributions.

Only solution seems to be Factory Reset, essential to Back up before doing so though.
