S20 Ultra PC to phone data transfer much slower after UI3 update

Hi There - I've updated my S20 Ultra to Une UI 3 and a few problems are occurring. What I want to deal with is that the speed of data transfer via cable between my PC and 20+ has reduced significantly. Also, during the same task the RAM on the phone seems to be effected badly too (any media playing on the phone during transfer now stutters and frequently stops momentarily).

I do this task frequently so the time is a real issue and the phone never had any RAM issues whatsoever during PC to phone cable transfer before I installed the One UI 3 update.

Any help or advice to resolve this would be gratefully received.

2nd Edit - this might just be effecting my SD card, not the main phone memory. After testing and following Babishko's suggestion below I've noticed that the transfer speed is faster to phone rather than to SD (used to be the same before One UI 3.1 - or couldn't tell the difference at least) and also that the RAM didn't seem to struggle. Does that make it easier to spot the issue?

Have you tried wiping the cache partition on your phone DeepPatience?... This can be a software update gremlin buster.. I have no experience of cable data transfer with a PC I am afraid so I don't know if anyone else out there can throw any light on this issue for you from a PC side or whether any settings need changing on your phone now following the update?. My hope is that any future software update can rectify the problem for you. Good luck. 👍

you might need to get back to the old version and then to reinstall it again 🤷

Thanks for the advice and kind wishes Babishko! I was hopeful that would sort it and have just wiped the partition cache (twice to make sure!) and tested each time but the problem is still there unfortunately. There is a comment below about rolling back the update (didn't  know you could do that) which I will have a look at now.

Thanks for the advice AlexGbr! I've searched loads and can't find any relevant posts online, and I tried the partition wipe idea but that hasn't worked. So the roll back could be next but it looks a bit intense/risky/involved though. I'm hoping to find a fix before having to do that, maybe a factory reset 1st. Thanks though, will leave the my post open for now and let you know here if I have any joy.

Have just updated the main post as I've noticed this seems to effect transfer to SD not transfer phone memory.
