Does any s20 ultra owner experience problems with the display when sitting in the sun the screen dims to a level that you can barely see? Even though the screens brightness is on max when checking.

I'm so glad I found this forum, I've had mine for a week and struggle in the bright light too. It was the same on my s9+ too but I thought it might have been settings as I used samsung backup to restore my new phone but expected the dullness in sunlight issue to go away. Sadly this is not the case. It's bad that the allow this issue to continue given the cost of the phones.

Hi, I have the same problem with overheating and reducing the brightness to a minimum on the S20+. I have a phone for a week, they are considering a refund money.

It's definitely a software bug. I have the same issue. It doesn't matter (nor help) if you use or don't use adaptive brightness. If I am on the sun the screen is more dimmed than indoors. If I restart the phone in the sun it's on max brightness for about a minute then you will see it dimmed (brighness slider doesn't change, it shows it's on max before and after too). Rubbish

Yes, I'm having the same issues on my note 20 ultra, I prefer leaving it on the adaptive so when I go outside I don't have to manually adjust my brightness but when I'm sitting in my living room with the sun shining in my phone keeps getting so dark I can't even see it

Same here S20 5G , Very poor for Samsung , Like another user have had from S3 no problems . I still have my S9 and compared side by side in normal light the S9 is far brighter just on full brightness ,no adaptive setting . Needs sorting and soon please .
