S20+ Notification lights and message on lock screen

So yesterday i updated to OneUI3.0.

on the previous version there was an option to have edge lighting and a small pop-up indicating what the notification is.

like on WhatsApp - when i got a new message and the phone was locked there was a green light and a tiny banner with the notification itself. the thing is i want to have both a detailed banner when the screen is on but also a light and small banner when the screen is off just like in the previous version.
i cannot find the setting for this option in the new version

is it not a feature anymore? or its just under different names in the settings?

I saw the option to use edge lighting, but when using it i no longer get a banner of incoming message when the screen is on only a notification sound or vibration. it seems they split the options which is weird.. its either a light when the screen is off or a banner when the screen is on.

is that the case?

i really agree with you that option should be here. having the same problem and the screen not waking up is  really annoying. i think this should be flagged  as a bug rather than just a feature.
