Poor poor 4G LTE signal

I am now on my second phone after thinking I had a faulty one, first time round. It would appear not. After using the phone and transfering my SIM to my previous phone, Huawei P20, the difference was vast. I have no signal inside, and 1 or 2 bars outside at best. Comparatively, with the Huawei, same SIM, EXACTLY the same position, inside I get 1 or 2 bars, and outside the 4G signal was maximum. What's going on Samsung? I have heard reports about bad GPS, surely this is linked? A design flaw? Antenna in the wrong place? Bad modem? I really am not happy, especially after opting for a Samsung for the first time, an apparent top-end phone. Joke.

@TheDarkNate: What is the model number and current Android version of your phone? This can be found in Settings > About Phone. In the meantime, please go to Settings > Connections > Mobile Network > Network Mode, and ensure that it is set to LTE/3G/2G (auto connect) to connect to the strongest available signal in your area.

Hi. The model number is SM-G981B/DS. Android 10.

Yes, I've done all the checks and tests, and changed all the settings to not connect to 5G. Nothing changes.

Hi, any advice? Or is it a design flaw in this model?

Yes. I've done that. The signal stays the same. If I use either of the others in Huawei, the reception is also the same. Far better than the S20

Thanks for confirming, @TheDarkNate. It does sound like an inspection will be required on the phone. You can get inspected at any one of our Approved Support Centres to determine the necessary steps to fix this. You can arrange this using this link:

This is the second phone I've had. I do not think an inspection will solve anything. In my opinion it's a design flaw, similar to the bad GPS signal that people are complaining about. And with the current COVID-19 situation, how can I book a test safely? I am still working, so really need my phone to be also, in case of an emergency when I'm at work, I work shifts, so calling the company would not work for me.
