Hei, Every time I hold my phone (S20+) upto my ear during call, my ear of my face would touch the screen and it triggers off all kinds of apps and stuff...  It is very annoying that i have to switch to use speaker call every time. Can the call screen be locked when the used is in call?

This never happens once with my S9 plus for 3 years.

Check that you do not have a faulty proximity sensor. This sensor turns off the screen when in a call and the phone is raised to your ear and turns off the screen to prevent accidental touches. You can test this in a number of ways. The easiest is to make a call, voicemail will do, and then cover the front camera area with your thumb. The screen should turn off. If it does not then your proximity sensor is faulty.

I have a suspicion that the proximity sensor is fine and that the user is turning it off during a call by using the power button without realising. 😁

If the sensor is working and you press the power button in a call it opens the screen again.

@Kohan: If you dial *#0*# into your telephone keypad, select 'Sensor' and hold your finger over the front camera, the screen should turn green and vibrate to show that the Proximity Sensor is functioning correctly. If you find that the screen is turning on while the phone is raised to your ear, try moving it away slightly, then put it back next to your ear to get the sensor to kick in. You can also press the Power button on the side of the handset to switch off the screen, if the above steps aren't successful.

Hei I tried your test. The screen did not turn off. Is this something Samsung can repair?
