Notifications on mute

for the past couple of days my Samsung S20 ultra doesn't seem to be playing my notification sounds for my text messages, Facebook, WhatsApp and someone other apps but it seems to be intermittent.I have search all the settings on all my apps and including my phone settings I've tried restarting my phone and I've tried changing the notification tones but nothing I do seems to change , anyone else got the same issue or knows how to fix it ?? 

and I've also checked my volume setting and they are all on max volume

sorry, caught the post button 😅
there appears to be no solution and today has been worse, works for an hour then has an hour off. even had a phone call with no ring sound

Same issue here but vibration works fine.

and suddenly this morning things seems to be working, no firmware update. I'll post if the problem returns, but I think it was after I updated the apps in the galaxy store.
