Notifications on lock screen on S20

Hi

I've just changed from an iphone to the Galaxy s20.  On my iphone when I got a message I would get an alert banner pop up on the lock screen.  I can't seem to get the same thing on my S20.  Any ideas please?

@LauraMH: Hi there. If you open the Messages app > Tap the 3 dots in the top right > Settings > Notifications (On) > General Notifications (On) > Notification Style > Sound and Pop Up > Lock Screen > Show Content > Back > New Messages > Set the same options as General Notifications.

Next, go back to your Home screen, swipe up and go to Settings > Lock Screen > Notifications > On. For any apps you want to manually adjust the notification settings for, go to Settings > Apps > Select an app > Notifications, and explore your options here. I hope this helps.

Thank you, that's really helpful.  Is there any way to keep the notification there for longer?
