Hi my phone did an update a couple of days ago and since then I've noticed that there's a recycle bin has appeared in my text messages & when I now when I delete messages they go in there & I thnr have to empty the bin. I don't want a recycle bin & want the messages to be deleted straight away. I've looked in settings & can't see any way to get rid of it. Is there a way to do this? Thanks
Really annoys me when updates change things without giving the option to have the changes. My what's app settings also changed & when I tried to reset them it kept going back again to what the update had done!
I'm going to play Devil's Advocate here. I've offered support on various Android forums for many years and would be very wealthy if I got paid for answering people who have accidentally deleted their texts. If you are an experienced user this is a hassle but a God send to dumb people.
yes, no doubt, but for those of us who feel confident to not have it it's a hassle to have to delete the same message twice, the choice is there in the gallery if I'm not mistaken to turn it on and off, I would just like the choice 😀
exactly! just got the s20, which I accidentally 'upgraded' to instead of the S20fe and which is no different to the s10 really, but at least on that I could turn the recycle bin off for messages!
if you accidentally delete a text, chances are the sender will resend it. why ***** off a whole group of loyal buyers (everyone I know with this feature disables it) for a few who *might* be in a situation that isn't actually a situation?! and why not give the option to disable it?!
I have the same problem. It is very annoying that deleted messages go to recycle bin where I have to search for them to delete them again. I want option to have them deleted at once like it WAS before. Is there a way to download the OLD version of the messaging app???
Agree that your "support" is for dumb users.. they should choose Apple-junk instead.. on which you cannot do anything - we, the Android lovers know what to delete and not to delete.. therefore this is annoying "feature" with pie 11.....
