Full Screen issues

Have a Samsung Galaxy S20 Note Ultra and am having problems getting videos to show in full screen when phone is in landscape position. The video progress bar extends on either side of videos when visible ... when both navigation bar and video progress bars are disabled there is a black bar on either side of video. You Tube videos work full screen by pinching and zooming outwards. Everything worked perfectly fine before. Phone has update version 10, UI version 2.5. Any suggestions?

I think that this depends on the player being used and the format of the video, on the Samsung video player you can stretch the picture, Google Play Movies usually shows full screen except for older movies which were not filmed in wide screen and the Britbox and BBC players are the same. Disney + mostly stretchers to fit.
This probably doesn't help your problem but it might suggest something different to try.

There is a bug as I have  played  the same video twice and 1st time worked fine and 2nd time would not on my s20 fe

I unistalled avg anti virus and has seemed to rectify this issue

Had thought that might be able to force full screen using UI menu but the menu is nowhere to be found on the Note 20 Ultra ...

Hi I got my galaxy FE 5g the other day and have found that when I set full screen for Mario kart on opening the game its full screen for a blink and then there is a black bar where the camera cut out is this dose this with three of my apps ,I uninstalled that did not work I also cleared the data that did not work I also contacted samsung today 10/12/20 and the person o was speaking to could not find a way of dealing with this, he suggested software update but this had already been done the day before , I suggested that it may be a bug but he was adamant that it was not ,he also suggested that it could have something to do with the screen ratio ,but I pointed out that on my sons one plus 7 Pro the same game dose not suffer from this in fact no app dose ,its just plain annoying and if it is a bug I hope it gets sorted sooner rather than later ,if anyone dose work it out please share

Thought that it was just me with this issue ... no improvement as yet and I have what is advertised as a top of the range phone! 😞
