@Denzel49: Sorry to hear that you're experiencing issues with your fingerprint sensor. If you open the Samsung Members app and go to Get Help > Interactive Checks > Fingerprint, and follow the on screen instructions, does this return any errors? In the meantime, please press the Volume Down and Side Keys together for around 10 seconds to perform a Soft Reset, as this will refresh the software and address any issues that might be a contributing factor.
