Hi, I have had the S20 for a little while now but it has started making a crackling/stuttering kinda of skip during playback of sounds from: Spotify, YouTube, Facebook and Audible.
It occurs whether listening directly on phone, via Bluetooth headphones or via USB connection (Android auto) in thr car.

I had the S9 before the S20 and it had done the same in later months.
I also Samsung and all they could offer is a soft reset.

This is what I have been doing so far but it it is obviously a SW bug or glitch as across phones. Can any one help?

If you do a soft reset is stops it temporarily. My concern is that the s9 did it and is therefore likely to be SW issue 😬

Same issue here on the S20. Please fix @Samsung. This is unacceptable. Paid €800 for a brand new phone not even a month ago... and now this. Tried just about everything. Nothing seems to help.

Same problem here with my s20 ultra, resets and updates don't seem to work. A phone this expensive shouldn't have these issues..

I just spoke with Samsung customer service on the phone. They told me to launch the phone in safe mode and restart. This would temporarily disable all third party apps and possibly solve the issue. It seems this did the trick for me. No stutters, so far. Hope this solution holds and the issue doesn't reappear. I did have to re-activate email sync, so be sure to check vital settings afterwards.

How to boot in safe mode: https://www.samsung.com/us/support/answer/ANS00062983/

Good luck. Let us know how it goes!

Well it was fun while it lasted. The problem came back. So booting in safe mode is only a temporary fix. Samsung customer service tells me the only option remaining is to factory reset the phone. If that does nog fix the problem, I will have to bring the phone to one of their service centers for inspection.

Factory reset seems to have solved the issue, for now. Will come back to update in case the stutter returns.

I've had the issue now for sometime since July, one month after purchase. Dbl restart or one shut down and power up resolves it until the next cycle. Here's the thing....Samsung knows...when they suggest silly things like what im suggesting... I believe it is an inherent Samsung Galaxy S issue that has to do with power distribution and how internal elements heat up inside the phone.
Why? Issue is immediately noticable after wireless charging (7/10) times. Can it have to do with placement for the 3 out of 10.
Those who had a S10 previously would also remeber this phantom issue...which goes away with the phone being cooler...
Come on Samsung...this is a pretty penny spent here...get your act together.
