answer a call

How do I answer a call while I am in an app?

Usually I just swipe up, but on this phone instead of having a proper icon, it just says answer in green on the top line at the right hand side. If I touch this the answer button disappears. The call continues ringing and there's no way to answer it .

On my previous phone an icon showing the phone ringing showed until it was answered

I have a Samsung Galaxy S20FE and when using any app if my phone rings the green (answer call and red (ignore call) just appears on my screen then yes I just swipe upwards

but what happens if you just touch the answer call button? on my phone, the answer call button disappears and the call carries on ringing and I have no way of answering.
Another Samsung modification to stock android?
I have two other phones and that never happens. it only happens on my Samsung if I am using an app. I reckon its a bug.

what version of UI are you using and just touching it is not usually a recognised response

it's tge latest 3ui with android 11

@Hwalker1: Please open the Phone app > Tap the 3 dots in the top right > Settings > Call Display While Using Apps, and change this to your preference. I hope this helps.

That was,where I first looked. the option to display over other apps does not exist on my phone. Another Samsung mod or just a duff Phone?

Found the problem. If you look in call display while using apps, there are three options. Full screen, pop-up and mini pop-up. All these are only effective AFTER a call is answered.
If you just try to answer a call by touching but not swiping the answer button the call is not answered so these popups don't show.
on all other phones, the red and green decline and answer buttons do not disappear until a call is answered properly. This is definitely a bug in the 3ui system.
they should be an option fir phone calls
to display over other apps, or to be always on screen. I cannot find one. can anyone else, and if not how do I complain directly to Samsung.

it's still not working, but may perhaps since the new system update today.
Also the screenshot method of using power off and volume down doesn't work.
or if it does there is no notification where its stored. if I swipe across the screen tge the shot is stored in gallery .
